As proud partners of Alup and Elgi we can present to you a comprehensive range of oil free air compressors.
Why Choose an Oil Free Compressor?
Widely used in industries such as food and beverage and pharmaceuticals, oil free compressors are the perfect solution for applications that cannot risk any chance of oil contamination. For this to be a certainty, it is essential that the compressor be oil free. As mentioned previously, for many industries, air purity is crucial. Even the smallest amount of oil within a compressed air system could cause damage to equipment or the end product. Oil free compressors take away this risk completely, ensuring only the purest air quality. Where a lubricated compressor uses oil within the compression chamber, oil free air compressors use alternative materials that protect the pump, allowing the machine to fluently operate without the need for oil.

CAPABILITIES WE CAN PROVIDE
Please find below the ranges in capability for the oil free air compressors we supply.
The amount of pressure you need depends on the machines and tools you use. The majority of compressed air equipment is designed to operate around 6-7 bar (90-100 psi). However, some applications require much higher pressure.
There is a general misconception that to gain more flow you need more pressure. This is not the case, depending on the equipment you operate will depend on the flow needed from the compressor. For example a shot blast bay would require 300 CFM at 7 bar.
Motor power is usually determined in KW size and in some instances, HP (Horsepower) For example a 66 CFM requirement at 7 bar would require an 11KW compressor to deliver the flow.
There are two types of rotary screw compressors available to the market ,these are Fixed speed compressors and Variable Speed Drive. Fixed Speed Compressors are capable of delivering x amount of flow at a set pressure. This technology is quite inefficient if the compressor is oversized. Variable Speed Drive is capable of delivering a minimum flow all the way through to its max output. These machines vary the distributed flow from the compressor to the required demand.

Applications of Oil Free Air Compressors
Designed specifically for applications where it is essential for the air to be of the highest purity and free from any contaminants that may jeopardise the final product. Oilless air compressors meet the stringent health and safety standards needed in specialist industries such as pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, textiles, electronics and chemical production.
What is the ISO 8573-1 standard?
At Airmatic Compressors, all of our oil free compressors adhere to the ISO 8573-1 standard. ISO 8573 is an international standard in the United Kingdom that defines contaminants found within compressed air. It is known as the guideline to understand air purity levels within a compressed air system.
